We make and sell our work to retailers and individuals, as a New Zealand business.

Refunds
You will need to provide a bank account for funds transfer in the case of a refund- we are a small operation and use a third party point of sale for your purchase – a bank account is needed for refunds. This information is not kept after a refund.

We dispatch as fast as possible, using Team Global Express courier.
The package is insured and tracked.
In a small rural town, the courier is a day behind.
If your order is on back order or we discover a fault in packing, there may be a delay to make another piece – this can take a week.
A refund is available if you are unhappy with any delays.
Our aim is to make you a happy client.

Crown Lynn operated in New Lynn, Auckland until 1989, many of the original moulds were saved by individuals, most went overseas with the majority of the factory assests.
Catherine Anselmi began to produce from the moulds she saved in the 1990’s.
Studio Ceramics continued this after a merger. They closed in 2017 when Mathew Nisbet began to gain their collection of forms.
They have been produced under the Stepa NZ label (Stepahead Ceramics) and the Crownlynn.kiwi labels.
There are many original moulds scattered throughout New Zealand and examples are found occasionally.
Original moulds have been sent overseas and produced with copies of back stamps to be traded as the ‘real thing’. These are copies, and treated as a criminal offense when discovered. newzealandpottery.net is the site to visit for further information on fakes.
These forms are part of NZ culture, and continued after the original factory closed at a difficult time with the importation of cheaper work from overseas.
Catherine Anselmi was passionate about saving the collection and her work is highly prized and collected.
Mathew Nisbet sees this work as the ‘Next Generation’ of shapes made since 1945, that still have a place in our homes and the demand exceeds the supply of original works.
We have added the Huia Feather and Tui Jugs to the catalogue- these were designed and mastered by Bruce Yallop for Studio Ceramics, an operation run by Chris and Adrienne Hardy. The Hardy’s and Bruce were trained under the Crown Lynn trainee program, that selected the most promising young candidates to learn all aspects of the craft and business.
The Flora and Fauna collection – www.stepa.nz – is the work of Bruce Yallop with Chris’s encouragement – it is the spirit of the original factory made by a designer who created many of the pieces collected as originals.
